Florida Men Arrested after Altercation in Wooded Area

Three Florida men were arrested after an altercation in a wooded area.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the men were arrested following a physical altercation in a wooded area in North Fort Myers.

“What started as an attempt to avoid confrontation quickly escalated due to the reckless actions of these individuals. I’m proud of our deputies for their swift response and for ensuring those responsible are held accountable.” said Sheriff Carmine Marceno.

Around 8pm, Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance in a wooded area near a lake north of Del Prado Boulevard.

During the investigation, deputies learned a group of friends had been gathered at the lake when another group of known individuals arrived. In an attempt to avoid confrontation, the first group tried to leave the area, but their vehicle became stuck.

Deputies located and detained two suspects, identified as Jacob Britton and William Johnson. A third suspect, Cameron Bradford, later contacted LCSO and turned himself in.

Jacob Britton was charged with burglary with battery. William Johnson was charged with felony battery. Cameron Bradford was charged with burglary with battery and felony battery.
