The Florida Lottery recently announced that Alejandro Morales, of Miami, claimed a $2 million top prize from the Monopoly Secret Vault scratch-off game.
The South Florida man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,153,865.
Morales purchased his winning ticket from Winn Dixie, located at 11241 S.W. 40th Street in Miami.
He claimed his winning prize at the lottery’s Miami District Office.
The $10 Monopoly Secret Vault scratch-off game featured four top prizes of $2 millionand over $176 million in cash prizes, including 6.8 million winning tickets. There are zero top prizes remaining according to the Florida Lottery.
The game’s overall odds are 1-in-3.41.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $70.8 billion in prizes, created 2,475 millionaires, and generated more than $20.98 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
