Florida CFO Says Trump Can Fix Property Insurance Crisis, Blames Biden & Harris

Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis said in an official government letter that Trump can fix the national property insurance crisis, while blaming the Democratic President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, and calling out Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio.

The Republican Florida CFO issued an official letter to former President Donald J. Trump outlining the nation’s property insurance crisis and recommending specific actions to bring costs under control.

He also said that under the Biden-Harris administration, families and businesses have endured skyrocketing insurance costs that have put the American Dream out of reach for too many hard-working people. Since taking office, homeowners’ insurance rates have increased an estimated 37% nationally, and the Consumer Price Index has increased nearly 20%.

CFO Patronis stated in his letter that the status quo is totally unacceptable, and that a Trump administration can rein in premiums for all Americans.

As recommendations to fix America’s insurance crisis, Florida’s CFO said he wants to rein in inflation and cut interest rates, pressure European reinsurers to abandon their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) mandates, as well as dismantle the Federal Insurance Office (FIO) within the U.S. Treasury.

He also talked about the importance of oil and gas. “Our country is loaded with oil and gas, and the Left wants us to squander them,” Florida CFO Patronis wrote. “They would rather us buy solar panels from China and rely on Iran and Venezuela for our crude oil. They celebrate climate change activists like John Kerry and Leonardo DiCaprio, elites who jet around the globe on their pollution-emitting private planes, giving speeches in places like Davos, Switzerland, where they tell the world about how ignorant Americans are. Meanwhile, truckers are busting their butts trying to get food and supplies to delivered schools, hospitals, and grocery stores.”

Florida Democrats responded and slammed Republicans for shifting blame on Florida’s property insurance crisis.

The CFO’s letter also included other Republicans: J.D. Vance, Governor Doug Burgum, Florida Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott, and Vivek Ramaswamy.
