Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier recently released a list of nationally-respected conservative attorneys that will assist the administration’s transition activities.
This transition team will provide advice and related feedback to the Attorney General as he organizes the office to advance the America First agenda:

I’m grateful that these powerhouse attorneys are willing to offer their time and considerable experience as we implement the America First agenda and keep Florida safe, strong, and free,” Attorney General James Uthmeier said.
Uthmeier was appointed as the Florida Attorney General by Republican Governor Ron DeSantis in February 2025. Before his appointment, James served as the Chief of Staff for Governor DeSantis, where he led the executive staff and oversaw 20 state agencies and over 100,000 employees. He also served as the Governor’s General Counsel and managed the litigation and legal work of the Governor and state executive agencies. Previously, he served as a senior advisor and counsel to U.S.?Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, and he began his career as a litigation associate at Jones Day’s Washington, D.C. office.
