FlingGolf Spring Tour Comes to Orlando
Alex Van Alen and ML Carr Team Up to Bring New Action Sport to Grand Cypress Golf Club
Who: FlingGolf and FlingStick creator, Alex Van Alen. Boston Celtics Champion and FlingGolf board member, M.L. Carr. Members of the Orlando community and FlingGolf players of all ages.
What: FlingGolf is played on golf courses alongside or in mixed groups with traditional golf with a golf ball and FlingStick. The FlingStick has a lightweight shaft similar to a golf club. It has a channeled basket that cradles the ball for long distance flinging and a notched side for putting. The FlingGolf event at Grand Cypress Golf Club will feature a free demo and instruction with FlingGolf creator, Alex Van Alen and an appearance by M.L. Carr, FlingGolf board member. The demo will be followed by a 6-hole tournament, course record contests including longest fling and closest to the pin, as well as dinner and refreshments. This event is open to the public.
The demo/instruction are free. Tournament and Dinner will be $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12. The entire event is free for press.
