Florida Democratic Party Chairman Rod Smith was in Sarasota on Sunday, discussing how he plans to avoid another year of massive defeats for his party and across the board victories for Republicans.
Smith appointed what he calls a “turnaround committee” to list all of the party’s problems and re-evaluate their strategy and message delivery.
But, the Florida Republican Party Chairman, Dave Bitner thinks that the Dems strategy is a waste of time and the focus should really be on turning around their policies.
“It is interesting that the Democrats believe appointing a ‘turnaround committee’ to evaluate their message will help them win elections,” said Bitner in a statement. “What they really need to ‘turnaround are their policies.”
Bitner added that Smith and Sen. Bill Nelson can’t turn around the fact that they are supportive of “Obamacare, failed stimulus programs and all the other job killing policies…taking our country in the wrong direction, while also burdening out children with massive debt.”
Unfortunately, the ideology of the Democrats can’t be changed by appointed a committee, Bitner said.
