The Republican Party of Florida collected more than $5.6 million in cash or in-kind contributions for the quarter ending Sept. 30, according to contribution figures filed with the Florida Department of State.
Led by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida’s $375,000, the GOP benefitted from 10 contributors who made single donations of at least $100,000, including a $250,000 check from Huizenga Holdings.
The Florida Democratic Party, meanwhile, took in less than $1 million for the period. The $955,214 in cash and in-kind contributions included no single contribution of more than $50,000.
