The first SunRail cab car arrived in Central Florida on Tuesday, having left the Bombardier plant in Plattsburg, New York more than two weeks ago.
Members of the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission (CFCRC) will receive an informational “sneak peak” tour Monday, August 12 in Sanford. Commission members will be shuttled to the secure SunRail Operations Control facility for a tour of the new center and an up-close, outside look at the first of the SunRail passenger cars.
The new cab car is currently housed at the Operations Control Center.
The informational tour, August 12, will be followed immediately at 10 a.m. by a public meeting of the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission at the Seminole County Services Building, Board of County Commissioners Chambers, 1101 East First Street, Sanford.
The current Commission members are:
· Osceola County Chairman Frank Attkisson – Chairman of the CFCRC
· Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs – Vice Chairman of the CFCRC
· Seminole County Commissioner Carlton Henley – Secretary of the CFCRC
· Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer – CFCRC Commissioner
· Volusia County Chairman Jason Davis – CFCRC Commissioner
