On Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama will host a grassroots conference call with nurses from across the country to discuss the benefits of the new health reform act.
Mrs Obama will be joined on the call with one of the highest ranking nurses in the Health Resources and Services Administration, Administrator Mary Wakefield.
The discussion will focus on the consumer protections which recently took effect under the Affordable Care Act, including:
- Coverage for children with pre-existing conditions
- Ban on lifetime limits and restrictions on annual limits
- Ban on rescissions
- Coverage for young adults
- Free preventive care
- Other new rules
