Billed as the world’s first 3D porn movie, a new film which opened in Hong Kong last week, beat out the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar, in box office receipts.
The movie, “3-D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy” raked in HK$2.8 million ($360,000) on its first day as curious movie-goers waited in long lines outside Hong Kong cinemas, rawstory.com reports.
The film, which is set in the Ming dynasty, tells the story of a young man who, after being introduced to the erotic world of an aristocrat, realizes that his ex-wife is the love of his life.
Excursions were being organized for movie buffs from mainland China where strict censorship would prevent “3-D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy” from being showed, to Taiwan and Hong Kong, rawstory.com reports.
