
An off-duty Orlando firefighter saved the life of an 8-year-old child at the Aquatica Water Park on International Drive on Tuesday.
The near-drowning occurred just after 1:00 p.m.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said, the off-duty firefighter noticed the child in in the area of Walkabout Waters, the Kid’s area at the Water Park and pulled the boy from the water.
The 8-year-old boy, who was treated by the Orange County Fire Rescue was responsive. He was transported to the Dr. Phillips Hospital for further evaluation.
