Fighting the Fires of Hate – America and the Nazi Book Burning

Due to a contractual issue, we have had to make some small adjustments to our exhibit schedule. We will be exhibiting Fighting the Fires of Hate – America and the Nazi Book Burning on January 12 through April 11, 2011.

This powerful exhibit, created by the United States Memorial Holocaust Museum, provides a vivid look at the first steps the Nazis took to suppress freedom of expression, and the strong response that occurred in the United States both immediately and in the years thereafter. The exhibition focuses on how book burning became a potent symbol during World War II in America’s battle against Nazism, and the need for continued vigilance whenever and wherever freedom of expression is threatened.
