A Mascott teen is dead and another was injured in a single-vehicle crash on State Road 50, near Royal Lake Circle.
The crash occurred just before 2:15 a.m., on Sunday morning, in Orange County.
Troopers said, a Ford F150 was heading west on the inside lane when it suddenly swerved and traveled over the concrete raised median and across eastbound lanes of State Road 50. The vehicle overturned several times and finally came to rest on its top, facing west of the roadway.
16-year-old Evelyn Guerrero, of Mascotte, a passenger, was thrown from the vehicle. She was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Ford, 18-year-old Jose M. Flores, of Clermont, who was also thrown from the vehicle, suffered minor injuries.
Troopers said, neither Guerrero nor Flores was wearing a seat belt.
It is not yet clear whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Trooper also said, charges are pending.
