An Orlando teen driver turned into the direct path of motorcyclists on Colonial Drive Sunday morning, resulting in one fatality and two people being injured, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said, Raeann Trapp, 16, of Orlando, was heading eastbound on Colonial Drive when she attempted to make a left turn onto Chuluota Road, and crossed into the direct path of Dannis Bish, 54, driving a Harley Davidson, westbound.
The front of the motorcycle struck the right side of the 1999 Ford Mustang Trapp was driving.
Bish, who wasn’t wearing a helment, was taken to Florida Hospital East, where he was pronounced dead.
A passenger on the motorcycle, Jayne Bish, 53, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, with critical injuries.
Meanwhile, Robert Martinausky, 52, another motorcycle rider, also traveling westbound, took evasive action at the time of the crash and dropped his 2004 Harley Davidson. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Martinausky too, was not wearing a helmet.
The crash occurred around 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
FHP said, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
