A crash on I-4 Tuesday morning has left a female passenger in critical condition and a driver with serious injuries.
The crash occurred around 8:00 a.m., near mile marker 104 in Seminole County.
FHP said, a 2002 Ford SUV was heading westbound on I-4 in the right lane, when the driver, 39-year-old Wilmer Santiago, of Kissimmee, lost control and collided with a 2009 Nissan SUV, also traveling westbound.
The collusion caused the Ford SUV to overturn onto its roof.
An unnamed female passenger in the Ford SUV was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Santiago was also taken to ORMC with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the Nissan SUV continued westbound and struck a barrier wall. The driver, 64-year-old Gordon Jum, Jr., of Charleston, South Carolina, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital. A total of 5 passengers were transported to CFR from the Nissan SUV, troopers said.
The crash shut down I-4 for about two hours while debris and vehicles were removed.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
