FHP: Motorcyclist Killed in High Speed Crash

 


Troopers have released the name of the motorcyclist killed in a high speed crash on Bunnell Road, in Volusia County on Sunday.

61-year-old Jack Norman, of Concord, North Carolina, was pronounced dead at the Halifax Mecial Center, after crashing his 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle near McGlon Road.

Troopers said, Norman was traveling fast, heading west on Bunnell Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the roadway. The motorcycle struck a sign and a fence.

Norman was ejected from the Harley Davidson, which caught fire. He was not wearing a helmet.

The crash occurred just after 4:30 p.m., on Sunday.

FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
