Troopers are searching for a hit and run driver who mowed down an unknown man early on Sunday morning on Orange County’s west side.
The accident happened on Hiawassee Road near Hiawassee Spring Lane, before 1:00 a.m.
Troopers say, the unidentified man was found in the roadway deceased. He had been struck by an unknown driver and unknown vehicle. Toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role.
