Fern Creek Elementary School will host guests from Orlando’s sister city in Japan on Friday. The Japanese visitors are from the Urayasu International Friendship Association in Urayasu, Japan.
The 18 guests will be greeted by students and staff in the auditorium for morning assembly.
Fern Creek Elementary students in the “Mallet Masters” Club, a musical group, will perform for the group. A traditional friendship doll exchange which has been a part of the history between Japanese and American schools since the 1920’s will take also take place. After the program, guests will tour the school visiting several classrooms.
