A female jogger was attacked by a man on Tuesday evening as she ran in the area of Corporate Boulevard and Data Court and Orange County deputies would like the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
The 18-year-old jogger told investigators she was out running 10:15 p.m. in the vicinity of the University of Central Florida, when she went to look at Lake Ruth nearby. As she left the area, the woman said she was grabbed from behind and held by her attacker.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the woman fought off her attacker and was able to break free and run back to the entrance of her apartment complex on Golden Knights Circle.
The woman, who was not seriously hurt, suffered a bloody nose and complained of her head hurting, according to the incident report. She was checked out and cleared by the Seminole County Fire Rescue who responded to the location.
The assailant is believed to be around 6’0″ tall and was wearing black shoes and a black long sleeve shirt.
