The effort to reconstruct Interstate 4 in the metro Orlando area takes its biggest step forward to date. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is hosting a public meeting to select the best value proposer seeking the contract to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the project known as the I-4 Ultimate through a public-private partnership (P3) Concession Agreement. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Orange County Public Schools Joe Davis Boardroom located at 455 West Amelia Street in Orlando.
The project includes the complete reconstruction of 21 miles of I-4 from west of Kirkman Road in Orange County to east of State Road 434 in Seminole County. The I-4 Ultimate project provides a choice to motorists by adding four tolled express lanes to I-4 while maintaining the existing free general use lanes.
FDOT received Technical and Financial proposals from the following Proposer Teams:

Technical proposals address the proposer team’s approach and schedule for designing and constructing the project as well as operating and maintaining the facility on behalf of FDOT following construction. Financial proposals include the price and demonstration of the proposer team’s ability to arrange and close financing on favorable terms.
