FDOT to hold “Beyond I-4 Ultimate” Study Public Meeting

img11The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), will hold a public information meeting later this week that focuses on the concept of extending express lanes on I-4 farther to the west and east. The meeting is called the “Beyond I-4 Ultimate” PD&E Study.

The I-4 Ultimate construction is scheduled to begin in fall/winter 2014. It will reconstruct the interstate as well as add four express lanes between Kirkman Road/SR 435 in Orange County and SR 434 in Seminole County.

The “Beyond I-4 Ultimate” PD&E Study public meeting will be on Thursday, January 30, at The DoubleTree Hotel located at 10100 International Drive, Orlando, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The upcoming meeting focuses on the segment of I-4 from the Beachline Expressway/SR 528 to Kirkman Road/SR 435 in Orange County and provides interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. It will be an open-house, with display boards and an automated presentation shown from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. FDOT staff and project team representatives will be available to answer questions and provide information as well.
