FDLE investigates Fatal Police Shooting

Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents are investigating what let three officers to shoot a man dead, following a brief stand off on Monday evening.

The fatal shooting occurred just before 10:30 p.m., at the Beach Club apartments in Melbourne.

Police were called to the apartment complex on account of a suicidal man. They found 37-year-old Ryan Radar walking in the breezeway when they arrived.

According to several reports, Radar was ordered to put his hands in the air, but instead reached into his pocked and pulled out a gun. After he ignored repeated orders to drop his gun, one of three officers opened fire, fatally wounding Radar.

FDLE agents, as is customary, were called to the scene to launch an investigation into the deadly police-related shooting.

The names of the officers have not been released. They have been placed on administrative leave.
