FDLE Agents Search for Orlando Timeshare Scam Artist

An Orlando man is wanted for defrauding several people through a timeshare resale scheme.

Harold Blue – suspect

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Daytona wants the public’s help in locating 54-year-old Harold D. Blue.  A warrant was issued for Blue’s arrest on September 12, but he is nowhere to be found.

Agents say, Blue allegedly targeted timeshare owners while he was employed at his previous employer, Marketing Direct Timeshares Services, in Ormond Beach and through his own company, Blue Chip Marketing. Blue would contact people who wanted to sell their timeshare properties, advise them they had a prequalified buyer and coerce the sellers to sign a listing contract and collect closing costs anywhere from $400 to $800. Blue did not have prequalified buyers for the timeshare properties and the sales were fictitious, agents say.

Blue is often seen at the Beach Haven Motel, 2115 S. Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores and also at 137 C. Golden Eye Drive (Pelican Bay) in Dayton Beach.  His home address is unknown.

Agents believe Blue may be driving or riding a 1994 white, Buick Park Avenue, four door sedan with Florida tag number, AKAM46, owned by his girlfriend, Dale Bellamy. He was recently spotted driving this vehicle in the areas around Palmetto Avenue and S. Ridgewood Avenue, south of ISB.

Anyone with information on Harold Blue’s whereabouts is urged to contact Special Agent Josh Mead at # 386-274-3829.
