FCRA to establish branch in Orange County

Recently, several members of the Florida Civil Rights Association (FCRA) Leadership Team held a meeting in Orlando to discuss leadership training and the creation of a branch to address local issues and concerns of its  members in Orange County.

The meeting was held by Marsha Watson, State Secretary to address issues outlined in FCRA’s President 2009 Agenda.  Attorney Jerry Girley, General Counsel, Gerald Bell, Chair Ecomonic Development, Dr. Tabitha Daniel, Dhd, Chair Communication and Media Relations, and Rose Brissom, Chair of Membership were also present.

According to the FCRA leadership, with the increase in membership and civil rights issues across Orange County, there is a need to establish a local branch which would be able to address local issues.

FCRA was established in 2005 and the State office has addressed a myriad of issues Statewide.  The establishment of the local branch would enhance the organizations ability to address the needs of the Orange County community and allow the State Office to meet FCRA President’s 2009 agenda.

FCRA invites you to become an active member and have a voice in your community.

President Obama has promoted volunteerism and membership in FCRA will provide a sense of community impact, a voice in related issues, and the ability to network and expand your individual goals.
