A father and son were arrested on Wednesday for threatening to harm Osceola deputies, with the son pointing a shotgun at investigators.

George E. Hixon (l) and Troy A. Hixon (r)

Deputies arrived at 4245 Deer Run Road in St. Cloud on Wednesday, where witnesses indicated Troy Hixon had thrown his girlfriend to the ground and began shooting a shotgun around her. Investigators said that before they could speak to Hixon about the incident, he pointed the shotgun at them. Eventually, Hixon put the shotgun down and told deputies he was not trying to harm his girlfriend.

Deputies arrested Hixon, 45 years, based on the information provided, charging him with aggravated assault, domestic battery and aggravated assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

Meanwhile, as the deputies were attempting to arrest Hixon, his father George Hixon, 73 years, joined in the fray, making threats towards deputies. Investigators said that George continued to make threats about harming the deputies, even as he attempted to enter the residence to get a gun.

Deputies arrested George Hixon and charged with threats towards public officials.

George and Troy Hixon were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
