A fatal Tampa vehicle versus pedestrian crash ended in an arrest.
Tampa Police Department officers responded to the intersection of N. Nebraska Ave and E. Robson St in reference to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash this month at around 4:19am.
Upon arrival, police officers located the pedestrian, an adult male, in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene.
According to investigators, a 2019 Hyundai Elantra driven by 23-year-old Armahnee Edwards, was traveling northbound on N. Nebraska Ave when the pedestrian entered the vehicle’s path of travel.
On scene, Edwards showed signs of impairment according to the Tampa Police Department.
As a result, she was taken into custody and charged with One Misdemeanor Count of Driving Under the Influence with Property Damage or Personal Injury and One Felony County of Driving While License Canceled, Suspended or Revoked (Death or Serious Bodily Injury).
The crash remains under investigation, according to local law enforcement.



This was one of my best friends that was killed. I pray justice gets served.
