An Orlando man died Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle on Trevarthon Road near Alvin Street in Orange County, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.
FHP says Heriberto Junior Vargas, 27, crashed into the rear of a Jeep SUV driven by Charles Carden, 62, of Orlando, around 1:15 p.m.
Carden was attempting to turn left into the driveway of 8715 Trevarthon Road, when Vargas struck the rear of the SUV and lost control.
Vargas was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead on the scene.
Troopers say Vargas was not wearing a helmet. Toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash.
FHP said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
