The first burglary occurred in Haines City on November 9, around 1:50 pm, where two Hispanic males made contact with an elderly couple and told them they worked for the County and they needed to survey the backyard.  One suspect kept the male victim in the back yard while the other suspect asked the female victim if he could come in and test the water.

Suspect #1 had a heavy set build; 6’0 in height with no visible tattoo’s and clean shaven. The suspects were driving a black, Cadillac Escalade, with dark tinted windows and unknown tag.

Suspect #2 was described as having a slim build; 5’10 in height with no visible tattoo’s and clean shaven.

The second burglary occurred in Port Charlotte where thieves posed as roof repairs in order to lure homeowners outside while another person burglarizes the home.

Authorities say two men in a new red or maroon Ford SUV pulled into a driveway in the 3300 block of Harbor Boulevard in Port Charlotte Tuesday afternoon (November 9) and convinced the elderly homeowner to examine the roof.  According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the homeowner led one of the suspects to the backyard to talk about replacing the roof before driving off.
