The new Evans Community School will have its Grand Opening, Parade and Health and Resource Fair on October 13, at Evans High School.
Orange County residents and vendors are being encouraged to participate and show support for the Evans High School Family and Community.
Evans Community School is one of only two schools in Florida where the community concept is being adopted, with Friendship Elementary High in Deltona, Volusia County being the other. The community school concept combines the best of educational practices with a wide range of vital in-house health and social services to ensure that children are physically, emotionally and socially prepared to learn.
