Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will deliver his 2011 State of Downtown Address today, at the Amway Center, during which he is expected to announce a major new development downtown.
The $200 million-dollar development, anticipated to include shops, apartment buildings and restaurants, will be built between the courthouse and the Lynx bus station on Orange Avenue, between Livingston and Amelia, wdbo.com reports.
The mixed-use project is expected to dove-tail with the SunRail station planned for downtown Orlando.
Dyer is also expected to share other aspects of the City’s progress on the revitalization of Downtown Orlando in his address.
