With a long history of philanthropy to charities in Central Florida and around the world, NBA All-Star Dwight Howard will launch his new Orlando based foundation, the D12 Foundation with “Gifts from the Heart,” on Valentine’s Day. D12 Foundation will make contributions to organizations close to Howard’s heart and motivate others to do the same.
Howard, on Monday, February 14, will visit four outstanding local charities to present donations and get to know the clients who benefit from these charities, as well as the teams that work endlessly to help those in need. He will be signing autographs, taking photos and more.

10:30-11:30 a.m.
Dwight will be on hand at Florida Hospital for Children to make a donation and to unveil the brand new Dwight Howard Teen Room. The Teen Room will feature the latest in video-gaming technology and offer young patients a place to escape the hospital setting and just be kids. Dwight first unveiled his plans to help build the state-of-the-art teen room in 2009 and now his vision will come to life as patients and Dwight officially dedicate the room by playing the first video game in the new Dwight Howard Teen Room.
