Duke Energy will begin to replace the name Progress Energy Florida on trucks, signs and all other company items on April 29.
The change is part of a multi-state logo and renaming roll-out for the utility giant that serves 7.2 million people, including 1.7 million in Florida. Duke merged with Progress Energy in July 2012.
In North Carolina and South Carolina, areas previously served by Progress Energy, the company will advertise as Duke Energy Progress.
