Drugs, vehicles and thousands of dollars in cash were seized and a drug dealer was busted in Florida.
The 41-year-old man faced a list of charges after a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Overdose Investigations Unit search warrant led to the discovery of more than 400,000 potentially lethal doses of fentanyl and other dangerous drugs.
According to local law enforcement, the Jacksonville Overdose Investigations Unit was investigating Christopher Herndon after receiving information he was selling drugs. Local detectives learned he was selling Fentanyl, so JSO built a case and received a warrant to search his house on Potomac Avenue on the Westside. The SWAT Team served that search warrant.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement seized:
- 849.2 grams of fentanyl
- 1.33 kilograms of methamphetamine
- 1.25 kilograms of powder cocaine
- 57.3 grams of crack cocaine
- 14.3 grams of marijuana
- almost $12,000 in cash
- three vehicles
“In his notebook, Herndon wrote ‘no police… will come to me’. Not how that works,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office posted. “If you are bringing in large amounts of deadly drugs into our community, our officers and detectives will come to you and hold you accountable.”
