A 91-year-old Orlando man is dead, after being struck by his wife whom he was directing into a parking space, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said, 58-year-old Alba Jimenez of Orlando was attempting to park a 2002 Ford vehicle at the College Park Towers Parking lot, 5212 Eggleston Avenue, when she accelerated and ran over the concrete parking stop, striking Federico Santiago, her husband.
Santiago, 91, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
It is not clear if Jimenez ran over Santiago with the vehicle, troopers said.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
