Deputies have identified the man who was gun downed as he drove his pick-up truck on Terrell Road in Tangerine on Monday afternoon.
The victim is Carlin McAlister, 42, of Tavares.
Deputies continue to search for a suspect who shot and killed McAlister as he drove along Terrell Road, in Tangerine around 2:20 pm, on Monday, November 8th.
A citizen reported that he heard several shots and when investigators arrived, emergency personnel were on the scene administering life saving techniques to McAlister.
McAlister, investigators say, was traveling west on Terrell Road when he was shot at. He continued for approximately half a mile and finally ran off the road into the woods, crashing into a tree.
The investigation is ongoing.
