A driver was killed on Monday night after he lost control of his vehicle on US-1 in Brevard County, FHP said.
Victor Ruiz III, 64 years, of Canaveral Groves, was heading northbound on US-1 near Mahi Mahi Lane around 8:20 p.m. on Monday, when for some unknown reason, he lost control of his 1989 Ford Thunderbird.
Troopers say, Ruiz struck multiple trees and a mobile home and was ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Ruiz was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident. Toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash, troopers said.
