The driver of a GMC SUV was killed today on State Road 417 after his vehicle overturned, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The unnamed male driver was heading northbound just before 6:00 p.m., on State Road 417, in the right lane, when he lost control and struck a pole. Troopers said, the SUV became airborne then overturned, striking another vehicle in the left lane, also heading northbound.
Troopers are still trying to confirm the identity of the driver of the SUV, who was pronounced dead on the spot.
Elsie Ramos, 52, of Kissimmee, the driver of the 1995 Pontiac that was struck, was not hurt in the crash. Â Â
Troopers say, the crash remains under investigation. Â
