Dr. PHS student artwork to be displayed in U.S. Capitol for 1 year

Kendell Harbin, a senior at Dr. Phillips High School, received the first-place award for a photo collage submitted in the Congressional Art Competition.

Kendell will have her artwork on display in the United States Capitol for one year and has won a trip for three to Washington, D.C.   Joanna Levine, Dr. Phillips art teacher says, “Kendell is very clever, creative, enthusiastic and she always thinks outside of the box.”

Kendell is a merit scholarship recipient and plans to attend the Kansas City Art Institute in the fall.
