Men’s Swimming improved to 2-0 yesterday with a convincing home victory over West Orange, 194-96. Double winners included Ian Perkins (100 fly and 500 free), John Meisenheimer (50 free and 100 free) and Evan Staton (200 free and 100 breast) while Chris Ohe (100 back) and Eduardo Macias (200 IM) also brought home victories for the Panthers.  DP captured both the 200 free relay with Staton, Meisenhelimer, Perkins and Ian Supra as well as the 400 free relay with Macias, Ohe, Gabe Baytan and Evan Olivares. Up next is the Spruce Creek Invitational Saturday morning in Port Orange.

Women’s Swimming improved to 2-0 in dual meets with a 193-101 victory over visiting West Orange, capturing first place in every event. Angela Algee won both the 50 free and 500 free and Allie Magrino took home both the 100 fly and the 100 back. In the 100 breast, Blake Broullire placed first while Heather MacNeil won the 200 IM, Emily Kliewer took the 100 free and Cindy Cheng brought home the 200 free. DP placed first in the 200 medley relay with Kliewer, MacNeil, Sunny Zhu and Rikki Price and was first in both the 200 free relay and 400 free relay behind Magrino, Algee, Cheng and Broullire. The Panthers head up to Spruce Creek Saturday morning.

Men’s Bowling is off to their hottest start (6-0) since 1996 after downing Ocoee, 2725-2503.  George Johnson’s 660 series led the way for the Panthers, who racked up their highest pin total since 2003.  Taylor Gilman rolled a strong 520 series but  it wasn’t enough as Women’s Bowling came up short vs. Ocoee, 2328-1940, to fall to 3-3 on the year.

DP celebrates homecoming tomorrow night at Bill Spoone stadium as the top-ranked Panthers host Hollywood McArthur.  Pre-game activities start a 7:00 PM with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 PM.
