A double homicide investigation is underway in Central Florida after an argument led to a deadly shooting.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a double homicide in Wimauma, south of Tampa, on September 16th.
Detectives identified the two deceased men as 28-year-old Rigoberto Vences and 27-year-old Osvaldo Rodriguez.
HCSO received a 911 call about a shooting on Willow Road. Detectives believe that two adult males got into an argument and exchanged gunfire.
Both sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital, where they later died.
“This tragic event reminds us that disputes can escalate quickly with deadly consequences,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This type of violence on our streets puts innocent lives at risk and will not be tolerated.”
This remains an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
