DOH Launches ‘Healthy Florida Summer Series’

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) Office of Communications announced Thursday, the launch of the “Healthy Florida Summer Series.” This series will feature a new summer health topic on the DOH Online Newsroom each week throughout the season, educating Floridians on how to stay healthy this summer.

The “Healthy Florida Summer Series” will include interviews, feature stories, videos and more about the following topics:

  • Healthy Eating and Physical Activity
  • Sun and Heat Safety for Kids & Older Adults
  • Mosquito-borne Illnesses
  • Hurricane Preparedness
  • Drowning Prevention
  • Food borne Illnesses
  • Water Safety
  • Summer Poison Prevention
