DOE to hosts Education Partnership Discussions

The U.S. Department of Education is inviting the public to Together for Tomorrow: A Discussion on Family and Community Engagement in Education.

Together for Tomorrow (TFT) is a national initiative to spotlight and foster partnerships among schools, families, national service programs, and community-based organizations in order to propel improvement of the lowest-performing schools.

Two community discussions will be opportunities to learn about TFT, to share your promising practices and examples of school-family partnerships, and to provide feedback to shape the Department’s family engagement efforts.

The discussions will be led by Brenda Girton-Mitchell, Director of the Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and Michael Robbins, Senior Advisor for Nonprofit Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Education.

There are two discussions scheduled and both are open to the public.

To register, send an email to [email protected] indicating which one you plan to attend. If you have questions about these events, please email [email protected].
