The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and Broadway Across America are excited to announce a unique opportunity for local performing artists. Disney Theatrical Productions will host open call auditions for male dancers for the Broadway and North American touring productions of Disney’s Newsies. This audition, held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport on Friday, Jan. 17 at 4pm, is an ideal opportunity for local dancers to join the national tour and even perform in the Dr. Phillips Center for the 2014-2015 inaugural season.
WHAT: Television camera crews and print still photographers are invited to shoot elements of the male dance open call auditions for the Broadway and North American touring productions of Disney’s NEWSIES. All technically trained Equity and Non-Equity male dancers between 16 – 22 years old will be welcome to audition for an opportunity to perform with the Tony Award®-winning musical.
As previously announced, the Newsies North American tour will play the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando during the 2014-15 season; engagement dates will be announced at a later time.
