Walt Disney World Resort announced dates for H2O Glow After Hours and tickets are available for the general public. The event does require a separate ticket, which provides access to the attractions of Typhoon Lagoon at nighttime as well as food and beverage service, photo opportunities, and a DJ dance party on the beach.
H2O Glow After Hours will take place May 28th through August 27th from 8pm to 11pm. Disney has stated it will be a limited capacity event, but those with tickets can enter Typhoon Lagoon as early as 6pm to increase value. Disney also is advertising the “lower wait times” that guests will be able to experience.
Disney’s newest rival water park competition, Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay, has yet to utilize their landmark color-changing water volcano at night. Currently, Universal has released park hours for Volcano Bay showing a closing time of 8pm in the month of June. No park hours are posted for July at this time. Despite that summer heat and the tourist crowds, apparently Universal Orlando Resort is not quite ready to expand the number of shifts to operate the water park and compete with Disney.
