Disney Greed Approaches Ravenous

MagicKingdomfinalWalt Disney is exploring a surged-pricing ticket model for Orlando and Anaheim, California, the LA Times reports.

An anonymous survey, undertaken by the Happiest Place on Earth, has asked for feedback on potential tiered pricing.

The survey suggests that pricing could be based on three tiers: Gold, Silver and Bronze. The top-level, Gold, the most expensive, would allow ticket holders to use the park on any day. Silver ticket holders would be limited to usage during off-peak days. Bronze admission passes, the cheapest ticket option, could only be used on off-peak weekends.

Based on the survey, one-day, one-park admission prices for Disneyland would range from $115 for Gold tickets, $105 for Silver and $99 for Bronze tickets, according to the Times.

A one-day ticket to Magic Kingdom Park currently cost $99 (plus tax) for kids between 3-9 years and $105 (plus tax) for ages 10 plus.
