Tanya Wilder serves as the Director of Transportation for the City of Orlando, responsible for delivering on the Mayor’s priorities to modernize the city’s transportation network.
Wilder is tasked with embracing innovation and technology to generate mobility options; and reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries through a concerted Vision Zero strategy, thus creating Orlando as a world-class transportation hub.
Per a recent West Orlando News public records request, Tanya J Wilder makes $205,857.60 of base pay on an annualized basis.
Wilder brings over twenty years of private and public sector management and transportation policy experience to this position. As the Director of Transportation, she oversees Transportation Planning and the Transportation Engineering and Parking Divisions. These divisions are responsible for multi-modal systems; micro-mobility services; parking and special events traffic management; roadway traffic management; capital transportation projects; and developing sources of revenue and grants.
Wilder joined the city in 2013, first as Business Development Manager supporting the neighborhood commercial districts, and then as the Transportation Planning Division Manager, with a focus on concurrency management, development review, long range planning and multi-modal initiatives. In 2016, she was appointed by the Mayor to serve as the city’s Transportation Policy Advisor. In this capacity, Wilder played a leading role in many consequential transportation policy initiatives such as the expansion of SunRail and Orlando International Airport.
