Dezerland Park in Orlando is honoring service members with a special offering this Veterans Day. Veterans Day is an important time to honor the brave men and women who served our country and reflect on the sacrifices made so we can enjoy our freedom today.
Active and retired military and service personnel will receive free entrance to the Orlando Auto Museum at Dezerland on Saturday, November 11th. Guests accompanying military members can purchase tickets for 50 percent off retail price.
To pay respect to our country’s military history, guests can visit the Military Pavilion to see vehicles from America and its allies’ past wars and conflicts. The pavilion features a DUKW amphibious vehicle that was used by the United States in World War II and other historic combat vehicles.
Orlando Auto Museum is home to over 2,000 vehicles, making it the state’s largest auto museum, right here in Central Florida. After a visit to the Military Pavilion, guests can take a trip through the decades and see the Gatsby Room, Bat Cave, Cars of the Stars or take a stroll down Main Street USA.
“Dezerland Park appreciates the sacrifices members of the armed forces have made for our country every day and we’re excited to honor them and their families this Veterans Day,” said Soren Schomburg, director of marketing and sales for Dezerland Park. “In the Military Pavilion at the Orlando Auto Museum, guests can travel back in time and learn about the vehicles that played an important role in America’s past.”
Once visitors have explored the Orlando Auto Museum, they can spend a fun-filled day at the rest of Dezerland’s amazing indoor attractions. Thrill-seeking guests will love Florida’s longest indoor karting track with three skill and speed levels. Dezerland also has boutique bowling lanes perfect for families, and one of Florida’s largest arcades with over 300 games and two 4D simulators. Gamers of all ages can check out the comfy couches in a video gaming lounge with modern and retro consoles that offer more than 10,000 games, along with pool tables and a collection of vintage pinball machines for “old school” play.
