Orlando Mayor Buddy has backed off of the proposed 21 percent pay hike for himself and fellow commissioners.
Before the start of the City Council meeting Monday, Dyer said he thought the proposed 21 percent raise “excessive.”
Since the City Council first voted on the 21% pay one week ago, Dyer and commissioners have come under increasing pressure, with many calling the increase “outrageous” and “unjustified.”
A new proposal with more modest pay increases will be presented at the final budget hearing session today at 5:00 p.m.
