An Orange County Deputy Sheriff was arrested Sunday, accused of domestic violence.
Ocoee police responded to the home of Deputy Sheriff Charlie Murphy, after a call for service was received from the deputy’s spouse.
Upon conducting an investigation inside the residence, it was “determined there was probable cause to take Murphy into custody,” according to a statement released from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Murphy was hired in 2006 and was assigned to patrol duties.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Professional Standards Section will also be conducting an administrative review of the circumstances.
