Two suspects are in jail accused of burglarizing a home on Romona Lane on Thursday, Orlando police said.
25-year-old Michael Lewis of Windermere and 18-year-old Raymond J. Styles, of Orlando, are in the Orange County Jail charged with burglary of a dwelling. Lewis faces additional charges of resisting an officer without violence and grand theft.
Investigators said, Lewis and Styles robbed a home on Romona Lane and stole a television. An eye witness in a home nearby, told detectives that the two suspects made off with a television and escaped in a green car.
Detectives called to the scene, saw one suspect, later identified as Styles, running from the area on foot. Styles was apprehended and taken into custody.
The other suspect, later identified as, Lewis escaped in the vehicle, pulling into a drive-away at Arlington and Madison, then ditching the car. He was able to elude police and again, jumped back into the vehicle.
Investigators subsequently located Lewis on West Colonial Drive and initiated a traffic stop. Lewis again fled the vehicle and was located on a back screened porch on WD Judge Drive. Lewis sustained a dog bit from a police K-9 and was treated at a local area hospital.
Lewis and Styles were booked into the Orange County Jail.
